This project Really Needs a Status Page
I hope this message is read by someone at Mozilla Labs.
The persona project is a really good idea, but the communication
between mozilla labs and the users is atrocious.
The vast majority of the messages on this group are based around
things like why can't I upload, how big is the persona cue etc. etc.
all things that could be covered on a Status page.
When anything goes wrong with this project such as lack of server
space that happened at the beginning of the month the process provides
no explanation.
Obviously it would be a sizeable job to provide every user with an
update on when their submission will be approved but surely a single
page that was updated daily stating estimated approval times and
alerting of any outages is not too big a deal.
this is the first time I have ever tried to join in with a test
project and I'm not sure I will ever bother again and not because of
the problems but because of the lack of any communication between us
and mozilla labs.
Please add a STATUS page.
To other users, if you agree that this is needed please just reply to
this post saying you agree hopefully if this message gets enough
replies someone at mozilla labs might notice it and do something about
it.
